The Lurking Shadows of Dormitory 4

The air was thick with anticipation as the four students, Yuna, Kaito, Mika, and Akira, stepped into the dimly lit corridor of Dormitory 4. The creaking floorboards and the distant echo of footsteps added an eerie ambiance to the place. They had all heard the rumors about the dormitory, but none of them could have imagined the terror that awaited them.

Yuna, the leader of the group, had organized the visit to Dormitory 4 after a night of studying. "It's just for fun, right?" Mika had asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Sure, just for fun," Kaito had replied, trying to mask his own fear.

The four of them had been friends since high school, but Dormitory 4 was a place that brought out the worst in them. Mika, the quiet one, was always haunted by her past; Kaito, the jock, had a dark secret he was trying to keep hidden; Akira, the aspiring artist, had a talent for seeing things others couldn't; and Yuna, the outgoing one, was just curious about the supernatural.

As they reached the fourth floor, they found the door to Dormitory 4 slightly ajar. Yuna pushed it open, and the scent of mold and dust filled their nostrils. The room was dim, illuminated only by the flickering light of a single bulb.

"Alright, let's check it out," Yuna said, her voice steady despite the unease that gripped her.

The room was cluttered with old furniture, and cobwebs dangled from the corners. Mika's eyes widened as she noticed a picture of a young woman, her face etched with sorrow. "Who is she?" she asked.

"We don't know," Yuna replied, "but she's been here a long time."

They began to explore the room, each one of them feeling the weight of the past that seemed to hang in the air. As they moved, they heard faint whispers, as if someone was calling their names. Kaito's heart raced as he felt a cold breeze brush against his back.

The Lurking Shadows of Dormitory 4

"Did you feel that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

The others nodded, their eyes wide with fear. Akira's hands shook as he reached for his sketchbook, hoping to capture the image of the ghost that seemed to be following them.

Suddenly, Mika let out a scream. She had seen something in the corner of her eye—a shadowy figure, its eyes glowing red. "It's here!" she cried, pointing frantically.

The others turned to see the figure, and for a moment, they were frozen with fear. The ghost moved towards Mika, its form shifting and morphing into something monstrous. She stumbled backwards, trying to escape, but the ghost was relentless.

"Run!" Kaito shouted, pulling Yuna and Akira towards the door.

They made it to the door, but it wouldn't open. The ghost was right behind them, its red eyes boring into their souls. Mika collapsed to the ground, her eyes rolling back in her head.

"Help her!" Akira screamed, his sketchbook clutched in his hand.

Yuna and Kaito rushed to Mika's side, but it was too late. The ghost had claimed its next victim. The others, realizing that they were trapped, looked at each other with terror.

"We need to find a way out," Yuna said, her voice trembling.

They searched the room, their hands trembling as they felt for anything that could help them. Finally, Kaito found a loose board near the window. "This has to work," he said, as he pushed it aside.

The window was narrow, but it was their only chance. Yuna helped Mika up, and together, they managed to climb out of the window. They landed on the ground below, their hearts pounding in their chests.

They ran down the stairs, not daring to look back. As they reached the ground floor, they found the main door open. They burst out of the building, their hearts pounding in their chests.

They had escaped Dormitory 4, but the memory of the ghost, its red eyes and twisted form, would stay with them forever. They had all been changed by the experience, their deepest fears laid bare for all to see.

Yuna looked at her friends, their faces pale and drawn. "We'll never forget this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The others nodded, their eyes filled with a mixture of fear and relief. They had faced their fears, and they had survived, but the terror of Dormitory 4 would never be forgotten.
